Discover the Connection Between Gaga and the Brain

What happens to our brain when we are in a Gaga class? How can movement heal experiences of emotional disconnection? And what is the remarkable brain function that reconnects us to our body?

Between scientific research and the Gaga movement language—we will explore together how dance can become a tool for recovery, healing, and deeper connection to ourselves. We’ll understand why trauma disrupts our sense of connection to the body and how movement can reshape neural pathways and awaken the connection between awareness and the body.

The workshop is open to all, age 16 and up. No prior experience in dance or movement is required.

Workshop Schedule

November 16, 8:00 – 9:30 p.m. TLV / 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. NYC

Gaga Online Class – ~30 min. led by Saar Harari
Lecture – ~30 min. led by Michal Dobrowinsky
Conversation & Discussion – ~30 min.

*Want to participate in the session, but not available for the live class? Ticket holders will receive access to the recording, which will be available for 48 hours after the session ends.

About the Facilitators:

The workshop will be led by Saar Harari, Artistic Director of Gaga, and Michal Dobrowinsky, a brain researcher at the psychedelic research unit at Ichilov Hospital and a Master’s student at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. The collaboration between Gaga and Michal Dobrowinsky emerged from a Tel Aviv University research project led by Michal, examining how dance affects the brain and trauma processing.
