We are thrilled to invite you to GagaRoom Paris – our first-ever edition! GagaRoom offers an unparalleled opportunity for experienced Gaga users to take their research over the top and hone tools from this movement language for their daily life. During the 5-day workshop this July, indulge in sensation-filled dancing, engaging discussions, and enrichment activities, all in one of Europe’s most inspiring cultural centers.
Through movement & conversation, GagaRoom members will examine:
- Gaga terms and the fundamentals of our research
- Undoing our movement patterns and finding new ones
- How Gaga can improve our physical abilities, including our strength, agility, and speed
- Range of movement and the idea of expanding our limits on a daily basis
- How to arrive to your own discoveries, and integrating these in your work and daily life
- Lightness as a virtue, and its connection to our passion to move
What will happen during GagaRoom Paris? A small set of committed Gaga users will meet in the studio daily for 5 days, alongside a team of experienced Gaga teachers. Each 3-hour meeting will include Gaga classes and other content including metodika, conversations, further physical research & exercises, and more. In addition to these meetings, participants will enjoy a Parisian social gathering.
During GagaRoom Paris, participants will also receive 1 month of access to Gaga Online classes and 1 Gaga class led by locally-based teachers during the week of the workshop. Participants are encouraged to take classes with Gaga’s diverse faculty in order to receive additional perspective on the movement language and amplify their own process.
Who is GagaRoom Paris for? GagaRoom Paris is for anyone who has taken Gaga classes online and/or in person and who wishes to further immerse themself in the language through an active process of physical research and generous dialogue. GagaRoom Paris provides the space and time for you to develop your own relationship with the Gaga language. Together we will find more clarity in our understanding of Gaga, strengthen connections between Gaga and our personal and professional lives, and share in the pleasure of movement.
