Bear Graham is a teacher, choreographer, and performer based in San Francisco. Teaching Gaga has been one of the greatest joys of his life. He has taught Gaga extensively on the West Coast, in the Midwest, as well as in France, Canada, South Korea, Germany, Sweden, Thailand, Greece, Mexico, Taiwan, and Israel. He is currently on faculty at UC Berkeley and at Dominican University/ LINES Ballet. Graham has an M.F.A. in Dance from The Ohio State University, an M.A. in Psychology from CIIS, and a B.A. in Performance Studies from UC Berkeley.
He presents his choreographic work while also curating the work of others, namely in DANCE LOVERS…duets by couples, crushes, and comrades, an annual show of duets around Valentine’s day in San Francisco. During the pandemic, Graham created Movement Rituals for Earth, Air, Fire, and Water at SF locations. He supports individuals in expanded states of consciousness (both one on one and in group retreats) and views this as an extension of healing through the body…healing through dance.
