Jannick was born in Munich, Germany in 1991 to Irish and Scottish parents. He moved to the UK age 6 and grew up near Brighton. His early movement training began with martial arts and sports, eventually moving into contemporary dance.
He trained at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance in London. After completing his degree, he travelled Europe exploring different approaches to movement. During this time, he trained in Capoeira, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, gymnastics and was also a rock-climbing instructor.
Jannick has extensive experience performing in immersive dance theatre, contemporary dance and inclusive practice. He has toured the UK and Europe working with various dance companies including Stopgap Dance Company, Errant and others.
Jannick was certified as a Gaga teacher in 2021 after training on the Gaga teacher training program under the artistic direction of Bosmat Nossan, Saar Harari and Ohad Naharin.
