Marija was born in Slovenia. For two years she was part of D.A.N.C.E. (European interdisciplinary professional program) under the artistic direction of Frédéric Flamand, William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, and Angelin Preljocaj. In 2009 she was engaged in a project of Swedish Riksteatern in collaboration with Batsheva Dance Company, where she performed Ohad Naharin’s work Kamuyot. In 2010 she joined the Batsheva Ensemble, where she danced in Naharin’s and Sharon Eyal’s creations. After that she joined Vertigo Dance Company in 2012 where she danced in pieces by Noa Wertheim, Sharon Fridman, and Anna Halprin. More recently she was a member of Tanzmainz where she got a chance to work with a variety of choreographers including Roy Assaf, Roni Haver and Guy Weizman, Victor Quijada and Sharon Eyal. She has been teaching Gaga since 2011.
