Nunzia Picciallo is an independent multidisciplinary artist born in Italy. Her creations range from dance, performance, visual art and abstract painting. Creator and performer, Nunzia is also a certified Gaga teacher.
After graduating at Dance Arts Faculty (Italy), Nunzia moved to Israel where she lived for 6 years and continued her studies with Batsheva Dance Company excellence program, Hasadna, Danceworkshop Gaaton and La Collectiz.
During those years, Nunzia has worked as a freelance dancer/performer for several artists such as Lilach Livne, Omer Krieger, Alex Mitutziu, Penthouss, Tami dance company, Edo Ceder, Francesca Fini, YY live art, Dana Hafouta and performed works by Shahar Binyamini, Idan Sharabi, Noa Zuk, Osnal Kelner, Iratxe Ansa amongst others.
As a creator, Nunzia’s works have been presented in spaces of different nature including 1:1 Center for Art and Politics, Arab-Hebrew Theater, Shek A Break Festival, Beit Tami, Hagra Cultural Center (Israel), Arte al Parque (Panama), Copelouzos Art Museum (Greece), Artist Commons (Belgium), Officine Culturali, Santomasi Foundation, Roman Appia Antica quarry, BIG Factory (Italy), and to different online platforms such as Mobile Dance Film Festival, Digital Show by Cinematica Festival, Mystery Artroom, Metamorfosise, and Artsite Fest.
At the moment, Nunzia is based in Rome where she keeps creating and teaching gaga classes, improvisation and movement lab.
